What I have noticed is this one weird thing: when I cannot send / receive my AT&T email inside of Outlook, I will log into my email through a web browser.
It is almost like AT&T is messing with me. I know the account settings by heart and I do not change them however, some days it works and some days it doesn't work. There are days when it works and there are days when it does not work. I'm having the same issues with my AT&T email in Outlook.
For IMAP accounts, the Incoming server ( IMAP) is port 993, the checkbox for This server requires a secure connection ( SSL) is selected, and the Outgoing server ( SMTP) is port 465 or 587.Ĭlick here to view the screenshot of the settings. For POP3 accounts, the Incoming server ( POP3) is port 995, the checkbox for This server requires a secure connection ( SSL) is selected, and the Outgoing server ( SMTP) is port 465. Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected. My outgoing server ( SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
For IMAP accounts, enter for the Incoming mail server, and for the Outgoing mail server. For POP3 accounts, enter for the Incoming mail server and for the Outgoing mail server.
Your User Name and Password are correct. In Internet Email Settings verify that:. Are you able to sign in to your web mail ( or att.net)? If yes, proceed to the next step. Outgoing server: - This is the only difference between the two.1. Use the following type of encrypted connection - SSL This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) - Yes Use sane settings as my incoming mail server - Yes My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication - Yes Sending reported error (0x80042106) The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending server. I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere. I can receive from both in Outlook, but send from neither. I'm having a problem getting Outlook 2007 to work with both my ATT email account and my Yahoo mail account.
